Welcome
Marshfield is a rural village in South Gloucestershire with a population of about 1700. We are about nine miles from Bath, Bristol and Chippenham. There are many listed buildings from the 17th and 18th centuries indicating how prosperous the town (as it was then) was during its heyday as a centre for malting.
Marshfield is a thriving community with two excellent pubs, tea room, grocery store, newsagent, two good garages and a pet and garden store, butcher and Post Office. We are well served by an excellent medical practice and a highly rated new primary school.
Our two halls and sports field are home to many community enterprises and clubs catering for every age group – to be bored in Marshfield is not an option.
Parish Council meetings are held in the Tolzey Hall on the first and third Tuesday of every month at 7.00pm.
Members of the public are welcome to attend.
Notice boards are situated on the side of the Tolzey and on the bus shelter outside the old school.
